How it all began

SabriYaz story began in 2011, not on a romantic date or wink,

But in Peterborough, with Sabriya’s family, by the kitchen sink.

Sabriya’s family spent some time in Peterborough 

And opened their home to students once a week.

Sabriya’s mother cooked for students and Ayaz, the gentleman he is,

Ensured he was always there, dressed to the nines, looking chic, and ready to feast!

Ayaz quickly became a family favourite. 

One evening, Sabriya walked in mid-dinner and when Ayaz’s eyes met her,

His eyes widened and his jaw hit the floor.

“Who is this beautiful girl” thought Ayaz

As he rolled his shoulders back and subtly fixed his hair.

Not knowing when he’d get the next chance 

Ayaz made his move in the most unique way possible…by soaking cookware.

As they did the dishes together, they had a heated debate on the Maple Leafs vs. Ottawa Sens and wondered if they could even be friends?! 

But their heated debate turned into fun, and their friendship began. 

Unbeknown to anyone that this was the start of a lifelong plan.  

Over the next ten years, they became close friends, 

Sabriya was travelling the globe and Ayaz was living the good life

Even in different parts of the world, they would not miss a call for each other’s’ birthday

Little did they know, Ayaz would take Sabriya on the trip she’d never forget

Where he’d ask her to become his wife. So let’s get to the good part.

February 5th, 2021 – and no that’s not the day the two got engaged

But the day Sabriya told Ayaz she’s moving to Toronto the next day!

Which also happened to be on his birthday

He quickly called the restaurant to place an additional order

And brought over dinner for Sabriya before his big celebration

After that was a whirlwind, Ayaz had this gameplan and showed Sabriya the good spots,

They went on long walks, explored different coffee shops

Sabriya was over the moon, their connection was stronger than ever before

Aladdin in real life, could this be the Prince Charming she had been waiting for? 

Even after years of not seeing each other, they connected like they did at the kitchen sink. 

They hit it off as best friends and the next thing you know, their relationship finally began!

Both always laughing and smiling

And realizing they were each other’s missing link.

Even 40+ hours in a car together to Cavendish and back, didn’t cause a crack 

From then onwards, they were inseparable

Living Rahul and Anjali’s story, full of love and glee.

In traditional Rahul fashion, Ayaz took Sabriya to the blue waters of Positano,

Dropped to one knee, spread his arms, and asked “will you marry me?”
